Black women are often forced or expected to self-sacrifice usually to our detriment. It sometimes shows up in motherhood, our careers, and our personal lives. Add a pandemic to the mix and it becomes an entirely different beast. My next guest is someone who did as she pleased and lived life as she saw fit.
